ANALISIS DE LOS FACTORES DE RIESGO PERINATAL ASOCIADOS AL BAJO PESO Y PESO INFERIOR A 1500 GRAMOS AL NACER EN UN HOSPITAL DE QUITO, ECUADOR
OBJETIVO: cotejar los factores de riesgo perinatal asociados al muy bajo peso al nacer, con los factores de riesgo asociados al bajo peso en los usuarios del Hospital Gineco Obstétrico Isidro Ayora.
MÉTODO: se realizó un estudio observacional transversal en la base de datos del Sistema Informático Perinatal del Hospital Gineco Obstétrico Isidro Ayora, del periodo 2008-2016, las variables cuantitativas, se analizaron mediante la prueba t, las variables cualitativas mediante la prueba Chi cuadrado. El análisis multivariado de esta matriz de datos se realizó mediante modelos de regresión logística simple y múltiple. La tabla de resultados presenta el Odds Ratio con su intervalo de confianza al 95%. Para el proceso de los datos se utilizó el programa estadístico R 3.3.1, para Macintosh®.
RESULTADO: se encontró 2379 neonatos con peso menor a 1500 gramos que correspondieron al 10,6% del total de pacientes hospitalizados. Las variables que mostraron asociación a muy bajo peso al nacer fueron: nacimiento vía cesárea, número de consultas prenatales, edad gestacional, hemorragias en la gestante, trastornos hipertensivos en el embarazo, madre con nefropatía, ruptura prematura de membranas mayor a 18 horas.
CONCLUSIONES: las condiciones de riesgo perinatales que se asocian con muy bajo peso al nacer son múltiples y pueden tener diferente nivel de influencia en cada población, es por ello por lo que al tenerlas identificadas se podrá hacer un seguimiento adecuado de las mismas.

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE: compare the perinatal risk factors associated with very low birth weight, with the risk factors associated with low weight, in the users of our hospital.
METHOD: a transversal study was conducted in the database of the Perinatal Information System of the Hospital Gineco Obstetrico Isidro Ayora, from 2008-2016. Quantitative variables were analyzed through the t test, the qualitative variables through the Chi square test. The multivariate analysis of this data matrix was performed using simple and multiple logistic regression models. The table of results presents the Odds Ratio with its 95% confidence interval. The statistical program R 3.3.1 for Macintosh® was used to process the data.
RESULTS: we found 2379 neonates weighing less than 1500 grams, which corresponded to 10.6% of the total number of hospitalized patients. The variables that showed association with very low birth weight were, birth via caesarean section, number of prenatal visits, gestational age, bleeding in the pregnant woman, hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, mother with nephropathy, premature rupture of membranes greater than 18 hours.
CONCLUSIONS: the perinatal risk conditions associated with very low birth weight are multiple and clearly identified but may have different levels of influence in each population. That is why by having them identified, they can be adequately monitored.
