ANÁLISE POR ATIVAÇÃO NEUTRÔNICA, MÉTODO K0 NA DETERMINAÇÃO DE ELEMENTOS QUÍMICOS EM GRÃOS DE MILHO
O objetivo deste estudo foi determinar os nutrientes em grãos de milho verificando a eficiência da técnica de análise por ativação neutrônica, método k0, ao ser aplicada nessa matriz. As amostras de grãos de milho, variedade 5055 da Agroceres, foram coletadas em uma propriedade situada na região da cidade de Biquinhas, MG, e irradiadas no reator nuclear TRIGA MARK I IPR-R1, do CDTN/CNEN. Assim, constatou-se a presença de Au, Br, Co, Fe, K, Mo, Na, Rb e Zn. A análise por ativação com nêutrons se mostrou adequada na determinação dos elementos analisados, demostrando assim, a potencialidade da análise multielementar.

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to determine the nutrients in corn grains, verifying the efficiency of the neutron activation analysis technique, k0 method, when applied to this matrix. Samples of corn grains, variety 5055 from Agroceres, were collected from a property located in the region of the city of Biquinhas, MG, and irradiated in the nuclear reactor TRIGA MARK I IPR-R1, of the CDTN/CNEN.Thus, the presence of Au, Br, Co, Fe, K, Mo, Na, Rb and Zn was verified. The analysis by activation with neutrons proved to be adequate in determining the analyzed elements, demonstrating like this, the potential of multi-elementary analysis.
