Abstract: American cutaneous leishmaniasis is one of the parasitic diseases with specific characteristics in several regions of Brazil. In recent years, there have been variations in the increase in the number of cases of this disease in different regions of the country. In the state of Rondônia, ACL is considered one of the endemic diseases. This research described geoepidemiological aspects of the disease in the municipalities that make up the south of the state in the period between 2013 and 2022. The research revealed that kriging can be a useful tool in the geostatistical trend analysis of ACL. There was a predominance of males, aged (15 to 30) years and white. The largest number of cases came from the urban area, as a result of the adaptation of sandflies to the periurbanization of cities in the Amazon, as predicted by Paraguassú-Chaves [3]. Regarding the clinical aspects, the cutaneous lesion (CL) predominated. In the study region, ACL is a public health problem due to its high endemicity. Some epidemiological variables were identified that are important for the study in the Brazilian Amazon and that may condition and/or determine areas associated with possible risks of infection by parasites.
