Abstract: Introduction: Chagas disease significantly impacts a large portion of the Latin American population and is closely linked to poor sanitation, making it a neglected tropical disease. In Brazil, mandatory reporting is restricted to acute cases, especially in the North Region, where the transmission potential through food becomes relevant. Aims: Analyzing the epidemiological scenario of acute Chagas disease in the State of Pará. Methods: This a quantitative, descriptive, and ecological epidemiological study was focused on analyzing the key variables that define the epidemiological profile of acute Chagas disease in the Brazilian State of Pará from 2018 to 2021, through data from the SINAN database. Results: A total of 904 cases were recorded during this period, mainly concentrated in the mesoregions ofNordeste Paraense, Metropolitana de Belém, and Marajó. The disease was more prevalent among male, adult, and brown-skinned (pardos) individuals. The primary mode of transmission was oral, often linked to infections at home and confirmed through laboratory tests. Conclusion: To prevent and control Chagas disease, supervision and training in the production and sale of açaí juice is crucial, efforts to combat vector transmission, improving housing conditions, sanitation practices, and healthcare access are vital. Further research is imperative due to asymptomatic cases and diagnostic challenges.
