Abstract: In Amazonas, according to population counts carried out by IBGE between 2015 and 2019, there was a gradual increase in the number of inhabitants. Population-based investigations regarding lifestyle and living conditions are rare and almost nonexistent in the northern region of the country, which demonstrates the importance of better specifying the factors that guide cases per inhabitant of individuals with tuberculosis. The objective was to describe the sociodemographic and epidemiological profile of patients affected by tuberculosis in the state of Amazonas from 2015 to 2019. This is a cross-sectional correlational/causal research study on tuberculosis diagnosis aimed at observing current sociodemographic factors (sex, age, municipalities, immunocompromised status, and different forms of drug treatment). The results showed a direct and significant association between the indicators and the tuberculosis incidence rate. An increase of one unit in the programmatic indicator was associated with an increase in the incidence rate, which may have occurred due to the increase in HIV cases and, consequently, an increase in AIDS cases. The socio-environmental indicator was associated with a higher tuberculosis rate in regions near the capital, with Manaus showing the highest rate. The results of this study were consistent in confirming a direct relationship between tuberculosis and living conditions in the state of Amazonas. This study revealed a substantial increase in tuberculosis cases in the municipalities of Amazonas, particularly those near the capital. The age group with the highest tuberculosis incidence was 20 to 39 years old, especially among individuals already affected by AIDS. Of the total number of tuberculosis patients, approximately 13.4% were also AIDS carriers.
