• Abstract: The urbanization process, when disconnected from land occupation and use planning and associated with the unequal production of urban space, results in the growth of informal settlements with infrastructure deficits, including insufficient drainage and social services. Infrastructure deficits in informal settlements, when combined with high-intensity hydrological events, increase susceptibility to flooding compared to other areas of the city. In this context, this research aimed to conduct a qualitative diagnosis of urban drainage elements in the neighborhoods of Pedregal and Ramadinha in the city of Campina Grande – PB, through the use of software, on-site visits, and questionnaires, which allowed for an integrated assessment of the socio-environmental impacts caused by the inefficiency of urban drainage systems. It was observed that, although public investment programs have been implemented in these neighborhoods, there is still a need for structural and non-structural interventions in the urban drainage system.
