ANÁLISE DOS IDOSOS COM TRANSTORNOS MENTAIS DE MARINGÁ-PR-BR
O envelhecimento populacional é
uma realidade marcante no século XXI e tem
se tornado um acontecimento global. Embora
envelhecer seja um processo natural, ele é
acompanhado de mudanças físicas, emocionais
e sociaisque diminuem a capacidade funcional
dos indivíduos, predispondo o mesmos ao
adoecimento. Dentre as doenças prevalentes
no envelhecimento destaca-se as de ordem
mentais, que são conceituadas como
“incapacidade caracterizada por significativas
limitações tanto no funcionamento intelectual
como das habilidades adaptativas”. No
que se refere ao cuidado às pessoas com
transtornos mentais (TM), o lócus principal de
assistência é a Estratégia Saúde da Família.
O cuidado realizado pelas equipes pauta-se
no desenvolvimento de ações de promoção à
saúde do indivíduo, da família e da comunidade
que atuam na unidade local e na comunidade.
Analisar os idosos com Transtorno Mental
atendidos pelas equipes de Estratégia Saúde da
Família de Maringá-PR. Pesquisa quantitativa,
do tipo descritiva e exploratória, realizada com
os idosos vinculados as Unidades Básicas de
Saúde quanto as suas condições de saúde,
considerando as variáveis: equipe de Estratégia
Saúde da Família, sexo, idade, núcleo familiar
e as seguintes condições de saúde como:
etilismo, tabagismo e epilepsia. O estudo seguiu todos os preceitos éticos da Resolução 466/2012 do Conselho Nacional de Saúde. Os
dados demonstram que 5,18% da população idosa possuem TM, com predominância
no sexo feminino (71,12%) e na faixa etária de 60 a 69 anos (51,1%). A região com
maior proporção de portadores de transtorno mental foi a região Pinheiros. O principal
hábito de vida associado ao TM foi o tabagismo (4,55%). O estudo pode contribuir
para o norteamento de ações de saúde no âmbito do transtorno mental e possui como
limitação a indisponibilidade de dados sobre as condições de vida do idoso.

Abstract:
Population aging is a striking reality in the 21st century and has become
a global event. Although aging is a natural process, it is accompanied by physical,
emotional and social changes, diminishing the functional capacity of individuals,
predisposing or affecting it. Among the prevalent diseases in aging caused by mental
orders, which are conceived as “disability characterized by vulnerabilities in both
intellectual functioning and adaptive skills”. It does not refer to the care of people with
mental disorders (TM), or the main object of assistance is a Family Health Strategy. The
care provided by the teams that develop actions to promote the health of the individual,
family and community working in the local unit and in the community. To analyze the
elderly with Mental Disorder attended by the Family Health Strategy teams of MaringáPR. This is a quantitative, descriptive and exploratory research conducted with elderly
people linked as Basic Health Units and regarding their health conditions, considering
variables: Family Health Strategy team, gender, age, family nucleus and health use
conditions as : alcoholism, smoking and epilepsy. The study followed all the ethical
precepts of Resolution 466/2012 of the National Health Council. The data show that
5.18% of the elderly population has TM, with predominance in females (71.12%) and in
the age group. 60 to 69 years (51.1%). One region with the highest proportion of people
with mental disorders was the Pinheiros region. The main habit of life associated with
smoking (4.55%). The study may contribute to the monitoring of health actions in the
context of mental disorders and has as limitation the unavailability of data on the living
conditions of the elderly.
