Abstract: The study investigates the technical and economic feasibility of investing in photovoltaic solar energy for an industry, in accordance with ANEEL Resolution Normative No. 482. Based on financial analyses, the investment of R$ 170,000.00 resulted in a discounted payback period of 5 years and 8 months, an internal rate of return of 20.13%, and a positive net present value of R$ 299,192.39, indicating economic viability. Compared to savings, the investment is more attractive, providing a superior financial return. In addition to solar energy, other sources of clean energy such as wind, biomass, and hydropower are considered as investment alternatives, depending on local conditions and consumer energy needs. The study aims to analyses real data from 2013 until the beginning of the pandemic in southern states of Brazil, using Power BI software, to draw relevant conclusions during this period. This article concludes with a summary of the inferences drawn and suggests future work.
