ANÁLISE DO PERFIL SOCIOCULTURAL E SOCIOECONÔMICA DE AGRICULTURES FAMILIARES DO MUNÍCIPIO DE BOTUCATU - BOTUCATU/SP
Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo delinear o perfil sociocultural e socioeconômico dos agricultores familiares pertencentes ao bairro Chaparral do Município de Botucatu (SP) e com isso descrever as atividades produtivas no tocante à comercialização e a geração de renda oriunda das propriedades. O estudo foi conduzido sob a forma de um estudo de caso, sendo caracterizado com exploratório e descritivo. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas com questionários semi-estruturados, realizadas junto ao grupo de vinte duas famílias de agricultores familiares pertencentes ao bairro Chaparral. Foi verificado a predominância masculina entre os produtores (80%) e chefes de família. Além disso, a faixa etária mais predominante foi a de 18 a 30 anos (33% dos entrevistados), indicando maior quantidade de jovens esta comunidade. De modo geral, os produtores contam com boa infraestrutura social (energia elétrica, água encanada, saúde e educação) e a Associação do Bairro Chaparral e Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar exerce grande influência na região.

Abstract:
This research aimed to outline the sociocultural and socioeconomic profile of family farmers belonging to the Chaparral neighborhood in the city of Botucatu (SP) and thereby describe the productive activities in terms of commercialization and income generation from the properties. The study was conducted in the form of a case study, being characterized as exploratory and descriptive. Data were collected through interviews with semi-structured questionnaires, carried out with a group of twenty-two families of family farmers belonging to the Chaparral neighborhood. There was a male predominance among producers (80%) and heads of household. In addition, the most predominant age group was 18 to 30 years old (33% of respondents), indicating a greater number of young people in this community. In general, producers have good social infrastructure (electricity, piped water, health and education) and the Chaparral Neighborhood Association and the National School Feeding Program exert great influence in the region.
