ANÁLISE DO PERFIL, MOTIVAÇÃO, SATISFAÇÃO E EXPECTATIVAS DOS ACADÊMICOS DO CURSO DE ENGENHARIA QUÍMICA DA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DO TRIANGULO MINEIRO
Neste trabalho, realizou-se uma análise dos principais resultados obtidos em uma pesquisa sobre o perfil, motivação, satisfação e expectativas dos estudantes do curso de Engenharia Química da Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM). O método investigativo baseou-se na aplicação de um questionário aos estudantes do curso e, a partir dos resultados, foi possível identificar que o curso é formado por um público jovem, com idade média de 21,2 anos, com predominância do sexo feminino, solteiros, oriundos em sua maioria do estado de São Paulo, com renda familiar entre 6 a 10 salários mínimos, residentes em repúblicas e tendo a maioria¹ cursado o ensino médio em escolas públicas. Os discentes consideram os seus desempenhos no curso como satisfatório, apresentam hábitos de estudos diários e preferem estudar sozinhos. Os resultados sugerem, portanto, que os discentes apresentam altos níveis de motivação e bons níveis de satisfação com o curso e que os alunos ingressantes são mais motivados que os concluintes.

Abstract:
In this work, an analysis of the main results obtained in a research about the profile, motivation, satisfaction and expectations of the students of the Chemical Engineering course of the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM). The investigative method was based on the application of a questionnaire to the students of the course and, from the results, it was possible to identify that the course is formed by a young public, with age average of 21.2 years, predominantly female, singles, mostly from the state of São Paulo, with family income between 6 and 10 minimum wages, resident in republics and most of them having studied high school in public schools. Students consider their course performance satisfactory, have daily study habits, and prefer to study alone. The results suggest, therefore, that the students present high levels of motivation and good levels of satisfaction with the course and that the incoming students are more motivated than the advanced students.
