ANÁLISE DO MOVIMENTO ANTIVACINA CONTEMPORÂNEO À LUZ DA OBRA CRÍTON DE PLATÃO
O presente ensaio tem como escopo abordar as relações existentes acerca do movimento antivacina contemporâneo e a obra “Críton”, de Platão. Para isso, o tema em questão foi dividido em três tópicos. Em primeiro lugar, foi analisada a obra em pauta, a fim de tornar possível a compreensão do artigo, mesmo sem ter realizado a leitura de “Críton”. Ademais, ainda no primeiro tópico, foi compreendida a história e os ensinamentos de Sócrates e de Platão. Em segundo lugar, o movimento antivacina foi estudado, não somente o movimento contemporâneo, mas o histórico, representado pela Revolta da Vacina, ocorrida no Rio de Janeiro em 1904, a fim de perceber as diferenças existentes acerca das duas fases desse movimento. Em terceiro lugar, foi relacionado a obra em pauta com o movimento antivacina, a fim de entender a maneira de Sócrates, segundo seus ensinamentos contidos em “Críton”, perceberia tal movimento. Por fim, delimitou-se que existem intensas relações entre os pensamentos socráticos e o movimento antivacina, pois Sócrates era extremamente crítico a diversas características que estão presentes nesse movimento.

Abstract:
The aim of this essay is to approach the existing relations about the contemporary anti-vaccine movement and Plato's work “Crito”. For this, this theme was divided into three topics. Firstly, the book was analyzed in order to make the article possible to understand, even without reading “Crito”. Moreover, still in the first topic, the history and the teachings of Socrates and Plato were understood. Secondly, the anti-vaccine movement was studied, not only the contemporary movement, but the historical one, represented by the Vaccine Uprising, which occurred in Rio de Janeiro in 1904, in order to understand the differences between the two phases of this movement. Thirdly, Plato’s book was related to the anti-vaccine movement in order to understand Socrates' way, according to his teachings contained in "Crito", would perceive this movement. Finally, it was delimited that there are intense relations between the Socratic thoughts and the anti-vaccine movement, since Socrates was extremely critical to several characteristics that are present in this movement.
