ANÁLISE DO GERENCIAMENTO DE RESÍDUOS DE SERVIÇOS DE SAÚDE EM UM HOSPITAL DE PONTA GROSSA – PR
Os Resíduos de Serviços de Saúde
(RSS) representam uma pequena parcela de
resíduos gerados no Brasil. Porém, necessitam
de um manejo diferenciado devido ao potencial
de risco que possuem para a saúde e meio
ambiente. Em virtude disto, cada estabelecimento
gerador é obrigado a implantar um Plano de
Gerenciamento de Resíduos de Serviços de
Saúde (PGRSS). Neste contexto, analisouse
o PGRSS de um hospital localizado em
Ponta Grossa-PR, com a finalidade de verificar
suas irregularidades e sua implementação. A
pesquisa ocorreu por meio de visitas ao local,
pesquisas bibliográficas e consultas ao PGRSS.
Nas visitas foram observados os procedimentos
em todas as etapas do gerenciamento e foram
constatadas algumas inconsistências. Propôsse
a elaboração de um manual com o objetivo
de orientar como proceder ao manejo dos RSS.
Portanto, é conclusiva para esta pesquisa a
importância da implantação adequada de um
PGRSS para qualquer estabelecimento de
atenção à saúde.

Abstract:
Solid Residues in Health Services
(SRHS) represent a small parcel of the total solid
waste generated in Brazil. However, it requires
a different management because of the risk of
potential having both as to the health of the
environment. As a result, each SRHS generator
establishment is required to implement a Plan of
Health Services Waste Management (PHSWM).
In this context, it analyzed the PHSWM of the one
hospital located in Ponta Grossa - PR, in order
to check irregularities in the implementation.
The research occurred through site visits, as
well as literature searches and queries to own
PHSWM of the institution. During the visits,
the procedures were observed at all stages
of management and some inconsistencies
were found. It was proposed the elaboration
of a manual with the objective to guide how to
proceed the handling of the SSR. Therefore,
the importance of proper implementation of a
PHSWM for any health care establishment is
conclusive for this research.
