• Abstract: The construction industry is currently demanding ever-increasing quality in its products, and it is essential that their production be more efficient, reducing production time and costs and incorporating increasingly complex technologies. Customers have become increasingly demanding due to their concern with the return on their investments, which has led to a greater concern with safety in the construction process. In this sense, this study seeks to verify in a practical way compliance with the provisions of NR-18 in a real construction site, something quite pertinent as it helps to have an idea of ​​compliance with what this standard establishes. The standard itself states that its objective is to establish guidelines in the construction industry that aim to increase safety on construction sites through the adoption of control measures and preventive systems. It establishes standards ranging from the necessary measurements of living areas on the site to signaling rules, collective and individual protection systems, covering all phases of construction. Therefore, technical analyses and complete documentation are carried out in terms of safety engineering in the construction of a reinforced concrete building in the city of Goiânia.
