Abstract: Wind energy is one of the most promising renewable sources for addressing the challenges of climate change and the growing demand for clean energy. Its reduced environmental impact compared to fossil sources such as coal and oil, and its ability to generate energy without greenhouse gas emissions make it essential for the global energy transition. In addition, technological advances have allowed the construction of more efficient turbines, capable of making the most of the wind, even in areas of lower intensity. However, effects such as voltage imbalance and fluctuation, as well as harmonic propagation, among others, must be considered when using this type of system. That said, this work aims to evaluate the impacts caused by short circuits in the transmission system, as well as the results of studies on the influence of harmonic distortion caused by the wind farm, from the perspective of quality parameters, and finally the effects of the occurrence of voltage imbalances, all through computer simulations, based on data from a wind farm located in the Northeast of Brazil, whose modeling was done using the ANAFAS and ATPDraw software, using models that are equivalent to the generation complex. The results of these simulations aim to indicate the consequences of such phenomena on the network.
