ANÁLISE DAS CONDIÇÕES DE ACESSIBILIDADE EM BIBLIOTECA UNIVERSITÁRIA DO CCTA – POMBAL/PB
acessibilidade é um direito de
todos, principalmente em locais públicos,
como bibliotecas, que atendem um público
diversificado. Sendo assim, o presente trabalho
tem como objetivo analisar as condições de
acessibilidade do espaço térreo da biblioteca
do CCTA-Pombal, no que se refere ao
cumprimento das normas estabelecidas pela
NBR 9050 de 2015. Para facilitar o estudo, a
biblioteca foi dividida em cinco subespaços:
entorno da biblioteca; recepção e atendimento;
acervos; área de estudo e banheiros. Realizouse medições dos elementos componentes dos
subespaços e posteriormente foi realizada
comparação com o que é estabelecido pela
norma brasileira de acessibilidade. Constatouse a existência de barreiras e obstáculos que
podem dificultar a usabilidade dos espaços por
portadores de limitações físicas. Os resultados
obtidos através dessa pesquisa demonstraram
que a biblioteca do CCTA não está cumprindo
em plenitude as diretrizes estabelecidas
pela NBR 9050. Muito precisa melhorar para
dar condições suficientes de livre acesso.
Elementos importantes que necessitam ser
ajustados são altura e profundidade dos balcões
de atendimento, altura das prateleiras mais
altas e mais baixas das estantes dos acervos,
disposição e altura das mesas da área de
estudo e adequação dos boxes dos banheiros,
principalmente os destinados aos cadeirantes

Abstract:
Accessibility is a right for
everyone, especially in public places, such as
libraries, which cater to a diverse audience.
Therefore, the present work aims to analyze the
accessibility conditions of the CCTA-Pombal
library space, regarding compliance with the
standards established by the NBR 9050 of
2015. To facilitate the study, the library was
divided into five subspaces: library environment;
reception and service; collections; study area and bathrooms. Measurements of the component elements of the subspaces were
carried out, and a comparison was then made with what is established by the Brazilian
accessibility standard. It was verified the existence of barriers and obstacles that can
hinder the usability of spaces by those with physical limitations. The results obtained
through this research demonstrated that the CCTA library is not fully complying with the
guidelines established by NBR 9050. Much needs to be improved to provide sufficient
free access. Important elements that need to be adjusted are the height and depth of
the service counters, the height of the highest and lowest shelves of the collections, the
layout and height of the tables in the study area and the suitability of the bathrooms,
especially those intended for wheelchair users
