ANÁLISE DA MEDIDA DE INDEPENDÊNCIA FUNCIONAL EM IDOSOS INSTITUCIONALIZADOS
INTRODUÇÃO: O processo do
envelhecimento humano faz parte do mecanismo
fisiológico de todo indivíduo sendo irreversível
e ocorrendo de forma gradativa, podendo ser
influenciado por diversos fatores que poderão
estar correlacionados com fatores ambientais,
biológico, social e psicológico. OBJETIVO:
Analisar a medida de independência funcional
em idosos institucionalizados. METODLOGIA:
Para a coleta de dados foi utilizada uma escala
para medir a funcionalidade denominada de
Medida de Independência Funcional (MIF),
considerado um instrumento multidimensional.
Para a análise dos dados foi utilizado o pacote
estatístico SPSS, versão 22.0. A estatística
descritiva simples é apresentada em média e
desvio padrão. RESULTADOS: Foi identificado
que os homens obtiveram uma média de escore
final correspondente a (+88,5) com desvio
padrão de (+ 7,5) e as mulheres obtiveram uma
média de escore final de (+90.04) com desvio
padrão de (+7,5). Sendo possível identificar que
quando comparada a medida de independência
funcional com o gênero, os homens apresentaram
uma menor funcionalidade quando comparados
às mulheres. CONCLUSÃO: Foi possível
concluir que tanto os homens quanto as
mulheres apresentaram uma deficiência na
independência funcional, porém as mulheres
se mostraram ter uma melhor funcionalidade
quando comparada com os homens tanto no
geral na aplicabilidade da escala funcional
como também avaliando cada ítem abordado
no protocolo.

Abstract:
The process
of human aging is part of the physiological
mechanism of every individual being irreversible
and occurring in a gradual way, and can be
influenced by several factors that may be
correlated with environmental, biological, social
and psychological factors. OBJECTIVE: To
analyze the measure of functional independence
in institutionalized elderly. METHODOLOGY:
For data collection, a scale was used to measure
the functionality called Functional Independence
Measure (MIF), considered a multidimensional
instrument. For the analysis of the data was
used the statistical package SPSS, version 22.0.
Simple descriptive statistics are presented as mean and standard deviation. RESULTS:
It was identified that the men had a mean score of (+88.5) with a standard deviation
of (+ 7.5) and the women had a mean score of (+90.04) with a standard deviation of
(+7, 5). It is possible to identify that when the functional independence measure was
compared with the gender, the men had less functionality when compared to the women.
CONCLUSION: It was possible to conclude that both men and women had functional
independence deficiency, but the women were shown to have a better functionality
when compared to the men both in the general applicability of the functional scale and
also to evaluate each item addressed in the protocol.
