ANÁLISE DA FREQUENCIA ACADEMICA EM UM CURSO DE BACHARELADO INTERDISCIPLINAR EM MOBILIDADE POR MEIO DA REGRESSÃO LOGÍSTICA
Os elevados índices de evasão para os cursos de engenharia levantam diversas questões sobre o comportamento do estudante ou ainda fatores de responsabilidade da instituição que impactam nesses índices. A partir disso, neste artigo, buscou-se avaliar e identificar quais as variáveis que podem influenciar na frequência dos alunos matriculados no curso de Bacharelado Interdisciplinar em Mobilidade da UFSC – Centro Tecnológico de Joinville. Estabeleceuse uma analise bivariada, e posterior analise multivariada para o ajuste de um modelo de regressão logística. Pela analise do modelo é possível estimar a probabilidade de um aluno obter frequência insuficiente nas disciplinas do curso. As variáveis foram: núcleo curricular, se a disciplina é da área da matemática, o tipo da disciplina, se o aluno foi aprovado, quantidade de alunos por sala e se o aluno repetiu a disciplina. Ao analisar-se os resultados podese refletir acerca da importância de elaborar ações na instituição para conter o número de reprovações por frequência, além de instituir métodos de acompanhar o desempenho do aluno quando este faz a disciplina pela primeira vez.

Abstract:
The high evasion rates for engineering courses raise a number of questions about student behavior or institutional responsibility factors that impact these indices. From this, in this article, we sought to evaluate and identify which variables can influence the frequency of students enrolled in the Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s Degree in Mobility at UFSC – Technology Center of Joinville. A bivariate analysis was established, and later multivariate analysis was performed through a logistic regression model. By analyzing the model it is possible to estimate the probability of a student obtaining insufficient frequency in the course subjects. The variables were: core curriculum, if the discipline is in the area of mathematics, the type of discipline, if the student was approved, number of students per room and if the student repeated the discipline. One can reflect on the results the importance of establishing rules in the institution to contain the number of failures per frequency, as well as instituting methods to monitor the performance of the student when the student makes the discipline for the first time
