ANÁLISE DA DISTRIBUIÇÃO ESPAÇO-TEMPORAL DOS FOCOS DE INCÊNDIO NO PANTANAL (2000-2016)
Entre os biomas brasileiros, o
Pantanal é um dos biomas mais propenso a
queimadas pelas características estruturais
de suas fitofisionomias, em decorrência de
condições climáticas ou provocadas por
práticas de manejo inadequadas de queimas em
pastagem. O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar
uma análise espaço-temporal das queimadas
no Pantanal entre os anos de 2000 a 2016, para
identificar a distribuição espacial e temporal
desses eventos, utilizando o estimador de
densidade de Kernel. Os resultados reforçam a
necessidade de preservação do bioma e atenção
frente as queimadas, que tem influenciado no
regime hídrico e na biodiversidade do Pantanal.
As queimadas ocorrem todos os anos e sua
intensidade não segue um padrão, entretanto,
estão extremamente ligadas ao regime hídrico
da região, sendo menos frequentes no período
úmido provocado pelas cheias.

Abstract:
Among the Brazilian biomes, the
Pantanal is one of the biomes most likely to be
burned due to the structural characteristics of
its phytophysiognomies, as a result of climatic
conditions or caused by inadequate management
practices of pasture burnings. The objective
of this work is to present a spatiotemporal
analysis of the fires in the Pantanal between the
years 2000 to 2016, to identify the spatial and
temporal distribution of these events using the
kernel density estimator. The results reinforce
the need for preservation of the biome and
attention to the fires, which has influenced the
water regime and biodiversity of the Pantanal.
Burnings occur every year and their intensity
does not follow a pattern, however, they are
extremely related to the water regime of the
region, being less frequent in the humid period
caused by the floods.
