Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate the quality of water for human consumption, identify the epidemiological profile of acute diarrheal diseases (ADDs), and analyze the correlation between precipitation and temperature with cases of ADDs reported in four neighborhoods in the municipality of Tucuruí-PA, between the years 2020 to 2022. To conduct this research, data was collected through the application of questionnaires addressing sanitation services in the neighborhoods and access to public data (VIGIAGUA, Sivep-DDA and INMET). The research variables were analyzed based on descriptive statistics, using hierarchical cluster analysis and correlation tools. In the results, it was observed that, in 2020 and 2021, the number of ADD occurrences decreased by 19%, and from 2021 to 2022, there was a 17% decrease in the number of cases of the disease in the municipality. These results may also suggest the existence of numerous cases underreported by the health care unit. Seasonality was observed, with an increase in ADD cases in the first half of the year, when the highest incidences of rainfall and mildest temperatures in the region are recorded. In Spearman’s correlation test, between the occurrences of ADD and the climatic variables (precipitation and temperature) for the years 2020 and 2021 were demonstrated to be weak and in the year 2022, it indicated a moderate positive correlation, adopting a relevance level of 5% (p < 0.05). The results of the interviews showed that a large part of the interviewed population is not satisfied with the water supply service offered, according to the studied period. It is possible to highlight in the study that the lack of sanitation services and deficiencies in the SAA are conditions for the progression of acute diarrheal diseases in the researched neighborhood.
