ANÁLISE DA COMPOSIÇÃO ESPECÍFICA DA CATEGORIA ‘SARDINHA’ NA PESCA ARTESANAL DO NORTE DA BAHIA
Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a composição de espécies da categoria ‘sardinha’ capturada no norte da Bahia e verificar se há alteração dessa composição ao longo do ano. Cinco amostras de aproximadamente 3 kg cada foram obtidas de pescadores locais do norte da Bahia em 2016 – 2017. As espécies foram identificadas utilizando a bibliografia disponível e cada exemplar foi medido e pesado. Ao todo foram amostrados 652 indivíduos das espécies: Opisthonema oglinum (n=379), Cetengraulis edentulus (248), Anchovia clupeoides (18) e Lycengraulis grossidens (7). Opisthonema oglinum foi a espécie dominante em peso (74,4%), seguida por C. edentulus (21,8%), A. clupeoides (2,0%) e L. grossidens (1,8%). Cabe notar que essa composição se altera ao longo do ano, com O. oglinum dominando em todos os períodos do ano, com exceção do mês de maio, quando C. edentulus dominou (97,3% do peso). Para a compreensão da estatística pesqueira de toda a Bahia, é necessário analisar a categoria ‘sardinha’ em outras regiões do estado e estimar tamanho de primeira maturação (Lm) para essas espécies com base em amostras obtidas em suas respectivas regiões. Utilizando-se valores de Lm disponíveis para outros estados, foi possível evidenciar que 99,5% dos exemplares de O. oglinum e apenas 32,8% dos exemplares de C. edentulus eram adultos.

Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the species composition of the 'sardine' category captured in the north of Bahia and to verify if there is a change in this composition throughout the year. Five samples of approximately 3 kg each were obtained from local fishermen in northern Bahia in 2016 – 2017. Species were identified using the available bibliography and each specimen was measured and weighed. A total of 652 individuals of the species were sampled: Opisthonema oglinum (n=379), Cetengraulis edentulus (248), Anchovia clupeoides (18) and Lycengraulis grossidens (7). Opisthonema oglinum was the dominant species in weight (74.4%), followed by C. edentulus (21.8%), A. clupeoides (2.0%) and L. grossidens (1.8%). It is worth noting that this composition changes throughout the year, with O. oglinum dominating in all periods of the year, with the exception of May, when C. edentulus dominated (97.3% of the weight). In order to understand the fisheries statistics for the whole of Bahia, it is necessary to analyze the 'sardine' category in other regions of the state and estimate size at first maturity (Lm) for these species based on samples obtained in their respective regions. Using Lm values available for other states, it was possible to show that 99.5% of O. oglinum specimens and only 32.8% of C. edentulus specimens were adults.
