ANÁLISE DA ATUAÇÃO DO INTÉRPRETE EDUCACIONAL DE LÍNGUA BRASILEIRA DE SINAIS NA EDUCAÇÃO SUPERIOR NO MUNICÍPIO DE IPORÁ – GOIÁS
A pesquisa intitulada “Análise da atuação do intérprete educacional de Língua Brasileira de Sinais na educação superior no município de Iporá - Goiás” teve como objetivo analisar fatores que interferiram na Interpretação Simultânea (IS) realizada em sala de aula, nas Instituições Públicas de Ensino Superior (IPES). Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica e um estudo de casos qualitativo no Instituto Federal Goiano (IF goiano) e na Universidade Estadual de Goiás (UEG), em que os sujeitos da pesquisa foram duas Intérpretes Educacionais (IE) e dois acadêmicos surdos. Em sala de aula, o IE tem a função de mediar a comunicação que acontece na dinâmica do processo de ensino-aprendizagem entre o professor e o estudante. Com base na análise dos dados, conclui-se que a IS realizada em sala de aula não contemplou todas as informações transmitidas pelos professores, pois alguns fatores interferiram na IS como: a falta de acesso aos materiais das aulas pelas IE, o desconhecimento conceitual dos termos específicos das diferentes áreas do conhecimento pelas IE, e a relação de mediação entre os acadêmicos e as IE. Entretanto, apesar da quantidade significativa de omissões durante a IS das aulas, percebe-se, que a atuação do IE constitui, para os acadêmicos surdos, como um dos meios de acesso ao conhecimento mais utilizado.

Abstract:
The research entitled “Analysis of the performance of the Brazilian Sign Language educational interpreter in higher education in the municipality of Iporá - Goiás” aimed to analyze factors that interfered with the Simultaneous Interpretation (IS) held in classrooms at Public Higher Education Institutions (IPES). In order to do so, a bibliographic research and a qualitative case study were conducted at the Federal Goiano Institute (IF Goiano) and at the State University of Goiás (UEG), having as investigation subjects two Educational Interpreters (IE) and two deaf academics. In the classroom, the IE has the role of mediating the communication that happens in the dynamics of the teaching-learning process between the teacher and the student. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that the IS performed in the classroom did not cover all the information transmitted by the teachers, as long as some factors interfered in the IS, such as: the lack of access to the materials of the classes by the Educational Interpreters (IE), the lack of conceptual knowledge on specific terms of the different areas of knowledge by the IE, and the mediation relationship between academics and the IE. However, despite the significant amount of omissions during the IS in classes, we can notice that the performance of IE is set up, for deaf academics, as one of the most used means of access to knowledge.
