ALZHEIMER E CINEMA: ALGUMAS REFLEXÕES
Trata-se de um estudo fílmico de
caráter qualitativo, que procurou identificar na
indústria cinematográfica, filmes com a temática
Doença de Alzheimer (DA), a fim de verificar
se estes conseguem, através de seus roteiros,
proporcionar informações relevantes, sobre o
desenvolvimento da doença, permitindo sua
utilização como uma ferramenta educativa.
Foram encontrados 14 filmes abordando a
DA, lançados no cinema no período de 1970
a 2018. A análise de discurso deu-se de forma
crítica e foi organizada em três etapas: a
primeira buscou descrever as fases da DA, a
segunda visa compreender o impacto desta, no
cotidiano dos personagens e seus familiares
e a terceira, preocupou-se em verificar se os
filmes conseguiam dar um cunho informativo
e educativo ao espectador. Percebe-se que,
na maioria dos filmes, houve predominância
dos sintomas de alterações de memória, de
déficit de espaço temporal, de dependência de
familiares e de alterações de comportamento.

Abstract:
This is a film study of a qualitative
nature, which sought to identify in the
cinematographic industry, films with the theme
Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), in order to verify if
they are able, through their scripts, to provide
relevant information about the development of
disease, allowing its use as an educational tool.
We found 14 films dealing with AD, launched in
the cinema from 1970 to 2018. Discourse analysis
took place critically and was organized in three
stages: the first sought to describe the phases
of AD, the second aimed at understanding the
impact of this, in the daily life of the characters
and their relatives, and the third, was concerned
with verifying if the films could give an informative and educational to the viewer. It was
observed that, in most of the films, there were predominance of symptoms of memory
alterations, temporal space deficit, family dependence and behavioral changes.
