ALTERAÇÕES OTONEUROLÓGICAS EM DOENÇAS NEURODEGENERATIVAS: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
Ao considerar os dados da população mundial com diminuição de acuidade auditiva, os gastos financeiros, o prejuízo social e a característica demográfica composta por idosos afetados, considera-se importante relacionar doenças neurodegenerativas com essa sintomatologia. Não ainda, doenças de neurodegeneração estão associadas ao processo de envelhecimento. O objetivo desse estudo consiste em relacionar alterações auditivas com doenças neurodegenerativas. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura com levantamento de dados nas bases de dados Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), Public Medlines (Pubmed) e MEDLINE em junho de 2020. A análise dos vinte e um artigos selecionados resultou na informação que a demência com alterações sensoriais pode agravar o déficit cognitivo e funcional dos acometidos. Foi perceptível em pacientes com Doença de Parkinson alterações em testes de prova auditiva, TDD (teste de dígitos dicóticos) e teste SSW (teste dicótico de dissílabos alternados) nos estudos avaliados. Além disso, em outro estudo, durante a avaliação audiológica em pacientes com ataxia cerebelar, uma configuração audiométrica descendente foi documentada. Essa pesquisa apontou a associação entre doenças neurodegenerativas e alterações otoneurológicas e que os sintomas de neurodegeneração podem ser intensificados por déficits auditivos. São necessárias estratégias e propostas de intervenção para a diminuição de dano e aumento na atenção da avaliação auditiva dos acometidos.

Abstract:
When considering the data of the world population with reduced hearing acuity, financial expenses, social damage and the demographic characteristic of affected elderly people, it is important to relate neurodegenerative diseases with this symptom. Not yet, neurodegeneration diseases are associated with the aging process. The focus of this study is to relate hearing disorders to neurodegenerative diseases. This is an integrative literature review. Data collection was performed in June 2020 with the following databases: Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), Public Medlines (Pubmed) and MEDLINE. The analysis of the twenty-one selected articles resulted that dementia with sensory changes can aggravate the cognitive and functional deficit of the affected. Alterations in tests of auditory test, TDD (Dichotic Digit Test) and SSW test (alternate disyllable dichotic test) in the evaluated studies was noticeable in patients with Parkinson's Disease. In addition, during audiological evaluation in patients with cerebellar ataxia, a descending audiometric configuration was documented. This research pointed out the association between neurodegenerative diseases and otoneurological changes. Furthermore, the symptoms of neurodegeneration can be intensified by hearing deficits. Intervention strategies and proposals are needed to reduce damage and increase attention in the hearing assessment of those affected
