ALEGORIA, ESTILO E REPRESENTAÇÃO DO FIM DO MUNDO EM MELANCOLIA
Partindo da premissa que um filme sobre a possibilidade de um fim da humanidade, não é sobre o acontecimento em si, e sim sobre a sociedade vigente, suas ânsias, crises e afetos, analisaremos o filme Melancolia discorrendo sobre as estratégias de estilo do cineasta Lars von Trier e como elas dialogam com seu contexto histórico. Assim, partiremos do conceito de alegoria histórica, proposto por Ismail Xavier, para fazer uma abordagem sobre o filme visando revelar em como o estilo de narrar e justapor os recursos cinematográficos e as relações intertextuais do filme, evidenciam uma camada alegórica que reflete a conjuntura histórica que a obra está inserida, revelando uma crítica antimodernista sobre essa sociedade, mais especificamente a uma despatologização do ser melancólico.

Abstract:
Starting from the premise that a film about the possibility of an end for humanity, is not about the event itself, but about the current society, its anxieties, crises and affections, we will analyze the film Melancolia discussing the style strategies of the filmmaker Lars von Trier and how they dialogue with their historical context. Thus, we will start from the concept of historical allegory, proposed by Ismail Xavier, to approach the film in order to reveal how the style of narrating and juxtaposing the cinematographic resources and the intertextual relations of the film, evidence an allegorical layer that reflects the historical conjuncture that the work is inserted, revealing an anti-modernist critique of this society, more specifically a depatologization of the melancholic being.
