• Abstract: Ensuring the potability of water in school environments is essential to guarantee the health and well-being of the academic community, preventing diseases resulting from the ingestion of contaminated water. This project aims to analyze the water quality of the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso – Barra do Garças Campus, focusing on drinking fountains and water from air conditioners. The study is aligned with the 6th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 6) and national regulations governing water quality standards. Physicochemical parameters (pH, turbidity, hardness, temperature, chlorides, and conductivity) and microbiological parameters (coliforms) will be evaluated. After characterizing the potability, a sustainable system will be developed for the reuse of water from air conditioning units, seeking to encourage the conscious consumption of water resources in the institutional environment.
