ÀGUA E SAÚDE UMA ANÁLISE DA ABORDAGEM DO TEMA EM ESCOLAS DO 6º ANO DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL, NO MUNICÍPIO DE SEROPÉDICA - RJ.
A Água é um elemento
imprescindível às diversas formas de vida
presentes no planeta. Porém, sua exploração
desordenada, assim como de outros recursos
naturais, somada ao aumento populacional
levou a uma crise socioambiental. A ECO-
92 trouxe grande visibilidade para a questão
ambiental e consequentemente para o tema
"água", que vem sendo discutido desde então.
A Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU)
declarou o período de 2005 a 2015 como a
Década Internacional para Ação "Água para
a Vida". Tendo em vista que o tema "água"
faz parte do currículo de Ciências nos eixos
temáticos da Base Nacional Comum Curricular,
o presente trabalho teve como objetivo fazer
um diagnóstico sobre o conhecimento de
alunos do 6º ano do Ensino Fundamental sobre
o tratamento da água e sobre as doenças
relacionadas à água em duas escolas, uma
da rede pública e outra da rede privada, no
Município de Seropédica/RJ. Os dados primários
para realização da pesquisa foram levantados
por questionários diretos e avaliados através
da análise de conteúdo. Foi observado que os
alunos não possuem um conhecimento claro
sobre as questões relacionadas ao tratamento e
as doenças relacionadas à água, evidenciando
uma necessidade de aprofundamento sobre o
tema e contextualização com a realidade em
que os alunos estão inseridos.

Abstract:
The Water is an indispensable
element for all the living being forms in our
planet. However, the population growth and
the unlimited exploration of it, as well as other
several natural resources, has contributed to a
socio-environmental disorder. Yet, the Eco-92
brought a great highlight to the environmental
questions, including the importance of water,
which has obtained a bigger visibility since
then. The United Nations (UN) organization
proclaimed the period from 2005 to 2015, as the
International Decade for the Action “Water for Life”, an increment for water-related
issues in all levels. As the subject “water” is part of the Science syllabus and of the
National Curricular Parameters, this study aimed to evaluate the 6th-grade elementary
school student’s knowledge about water treatments and water-related diseases. The
students were from a public and a private school, both located in Seropedica County,
in Rio de Janeiro State. The primary information was collected from the application of
questionnaires to the students and then evaluated through the contents analysis. It
was observed that the students had not a clear knowledge about questions related to
both water-related diseases and water treatments. Therefore, a greater approach on
the subject “water” and its contextualization with the reality of which student is inserted
in is necessary.
