Abstract: The objective of this study was to evaluate the potassium (K) release dynamics in leaching columns. This was done using Multi-target fertilizers with slow release technology, produced from potassium derived from K-blue and pyrolyzed carbon. The trial was conducted in leaching columns filled with fragile soil, classified as haplic dystrophic Planosol, sieved with a 2 mm mesh and then homogenized. The experiment was set up in a completely randomized design with the following treatments: control, KCl, potassium sulfate, and two Multi-target fertilizers with K-blue (ASE-K and ACE-K), totaling 5 treatments, 3 replicates, and 15 experimental units. The treatments were applied uniformly at a rate of 80 kg ha-1 K2O and placed in the columns at a depth of 5 cm. The Multi-target fertilizers showed a lower rate of potassium leaching compared to soluble fertilizers. However, they had similar potassium levels in the soil compared to the other fertilizers. The Multi-target fertilizers showed higher sodium leaching rates.
