AGRICULTURA FAMILIAR E DESENVOLVIMENTO RURAL: UM ESTUDO EM TRÊS CHÁCARAS NA CIDADE DE SINOP – MATO GROSSO
Este trabalho objetivou caracterizar
os indicadores sobre o desenvolvimento rural
na agricultura familiar de Sinop, Estado de Mato
Grosso, a partir do diagnóstico proposto pelo
Instituto Nacional de Colonização e Reforma
Agrária (INCRA) e da Organização das Nações
Unidas para Agricultura e Alimentação (FAO).
O estudo teve como representatividade três
famílias residentes em chácaras no entorno da
cidade, Bortoluzzi, Omissolo e Massola. Foram
realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas,
acompanhadas de gravação de vídeos e
fotografias como forma de documentar o
trabalho por elas realizado. Constatou-se
a importância da agricultura familiar para o
setor social e econômico, no que se refere à
produção e ao destino dos alimentos, que tem
como consumidores os mercados, as feiras e
a merenda escolar. Conclui-se que os critérios
para definir desenvolvimento rural, uma vez
que abarcam fatores econômicos, sociais,
ambientais e muitas vezes culturais, devem ser
contemplados em sua amplitude. Neste estudo
sistêmico, destacou-se o ambiente agrário
a partir da visão dos casais de agricultores
sobre sua propriedade, sua produção e
comercialização.

Abstract:
This work aimed to characterize the
indicators concerned to the rural development
in the family agriculture of Sinop, State of Mato
Grosso, considering the diagnosis proposed
by the National Institute of Colonization and
Agrarian Reform (INCRA) and the Food and
Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
(FAO). The study included three families that
live in smallholdings around the city, Bortoluzzi,
Omissolo and Massola. Semi-structured
interviews were conducted, followed by recording
of videos and photos as a method to document
the work performed by these families. It was
noticed the importance of familiar agriculture in
the social and economic sector regarding to the
production and destination of food, which has
as its consumer the markets, fairs and school
meal.It is noticed that the criteria for defining
rural development, taking into accountthat
they includes economic, social, environmental
and cultural factors, must be considered in its
scope. In this systemic study, the agricultural environment stands out from the point of view of the couples of farmers about their
property, and also their production and marketing.
