AFASTAMENTO DO TRABALHO E SOFRIMENTO FÍSICO E MENTAL EM TÉCNICOS DE ENFERMAGEM DO CENTRO DE TERAPIA INTENSIVA
Objetivo: analisar a dimensão subjetiva do sofrimento físico e mental de técnicos de enfermagem de um centro de terapia intensiva (CTI) em um hospital em São Luís – MA. Métodos: tratou-se de pesquisa qualitativa com observação participante e sistemática, e entrevistas com 26 técnicos de enfermagem do CTI com histórico de atestados médicos entre julho de 2016 e julho de 2017. Utilizou-se a análise de conteúdo para tratamento dos dados e como metodologia a hermenêutica-dialética. Resultados: Destacou-se sofrimento físico nas atividades realizadas, sofrimento psíquico traduzido por violência verbal e falta de reconhecimento profissional, além de dores de natureza emocional, traduzidas pelo estigma social de ser alguém que “sempre adoece”. Conclusão: o trabalho da enfermagem no CTI produz sofrimento físico e mental nos técnicos de enfermagem. Sugere-se rastreamento das causas de afastamento, para diminuir o ciclo de agravo à saúde e novas licenças médicas.

Abstract:
Objective: to analyze the subjective dimension of physical and mental suffering of nursing technicians of an intensive care center (ICU) in a hospital in. Methods: This was a qualitative research with participant and systematic observation, and interviews with 26 ICU nursing technicians with a history of medical certificates between July 2016 and July 2017. We used content analysis for data treatment and how hermeneutic-dialectical methodology. Results: Physical suffering was highlighted in the activities performed, psychological suffering translated by verbal violence and lack of professional recognition, in addition to emotional pain, translated by the social stigma of being someone who “always gets sick”. Conclusion: nursing work in the ICU produces physical and mental suffering in nursing technicians. Tracking causes of sick leave is suggested to shorten the cycle of health problems and new sick leave.
