Abstract: Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is a less invasive procedure that has shown promising results in treating patients with severe aortic stenosis, particularly those at high risk for open surgery. This article reviews the existing literature on TAVR, examining its efficacy, safety, and recent advances in the technique. While TAVR has shown comparable efficacy and safety to open surgery, more research is needed to fully understand the risk-benefit profile of TAVR across diverse patient populations.
