Abstract: This study explores the implementation of robotics classes in the undergraduate Mechatronics course at the Federal Technological University of Paraná in Brazil. The primary focus is on utilizing intelligent computing systems, employing an active problem-solving methodology, and incorporating various other aspects outlined in the article. These techniques aim to modernize teaching methods and enhance student learning experiences. Although a comprehensive, quantitative statistical analysis of student satisfaction was not conducted, the authors assert that the approach holds significant value for students. This assertion is supported by the number of final projects that have originated from the course's seminars and the content itself. The study particularly emphasizes the active problem-solving methodology, providing clear explanations and accessible models for students to conduct their own experiments. It is important to note that the study did not exclusively rely on intelligent systems for problem-solving purposes. Individual results and their corresponding discussions are presented within the article. The study concludes with a summary and a discussion on potential future endeavors in this field.
