Abstract: In March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the disease caused by the new Coronavirus as a pandemic. Due to the very rapid geographic spread, Brazil established a contingency plan to prevent the spread of the virus, with the cancellation of classes and clinical services at universities. Given this context, the Center for Research and Dental Care for Special Patients (Cepae), located at the Faculty of Dentistry of Piracicaba (FOP-Unicamp), restructured the services it offered to pregnant and postpartum women, starting to provide online care. The objective of this study was to verify the adherence of these patients to this new telehealth system. This is a quantitative, retrospective and documentary study, with the aim of improving the management of services offered by Cepae. To analyze adherence to the new type of care, retrospective data were collected and compared regarding the number of visits before and after the determination of social isolation, that is, from April to July 2020 (telehealth services) and April to July 2019. (in-person services). The information was collected from Cepae's computerized data system. Both care for pregnant women, through the Pregnancy Guidance Program, and care for postpartum women, through the Exclusive Breastfeeding Incentive Group, had an increase in participation rates (83%, n: 65; 30%, n:18, respectively). It is concluded that telehealth proved to be a tool with high adoption by the public in question.
