ACUPUNTURA NA ESCLERODERMIA SISTÊMICA: RELATO DE CASO
O objetivo deste estudo é avaliar a
eficácia da técnica da acupuntura no tratamento
dos sintomas da esclerose sistêmica. O
método utilizado foi por demanda espontânea
de pacientes com diagnóstico de esclerose
sistêmica, N de 1 (hum) , como relato de caso.
O paciente com ESCLERO foi submetido a
avaliação geral da medicina tradicional chinesa,
punturado em 11 pontos específicos uma vez
por semana durante 10 sessões. As avaliações
foram feitas por um avaliador cego no início do
estudo e a cada semana, utilizando a Escala
Visual Analógica (EVA). No resultado houve
uma diferença significativa entre os grupos
em relação à dor (p<0,001) e a qualidade de
sono e a qualidae de vida utilizando o Teste
Exato de Fisher e o Teste Qui-Quadrado. A
conclusão é que o tratamento dos sintomas da
escleroderemia sistêmica com a acupuntura é
eficaz na melhora do quadro álgico, na qualidade
de sono e qualidade e vida nos portadores desta
patologia.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is
to evaluate the efficacy of the acupuncture
technique in the treatment of systemic
sclerosis symptoms. The method used was
by spontaneous demand from patients with a
diagnosis of systemic sclerosis, N of 1 (hum), as
a case report. The patient with ESCLERO underwent general evaluation of traditional
Chinese medicine, punctured at 11 specific points once a week for 10 sessions.
Evaluations were done by a blind assessor at the start of the study and each week
using the Visual Analogue Scale (EVA). In the result there was a significant difference
between the groups in relation to pain (p <0.001) and sleep quality and life quality using
the Fisher’s Exact Test and the Chi-Square Test. The conclusion is that the treatment of
the symptoms of systemic scleroderma with acupuncture is effective in improving the
pain, quality of sleep and quality and life in patients with this pathology.
