Abstract: Promoting health through human movement is an important strategy for disease prevention and improving quality of life, highlighting the role of nurses in this process. This study aimed to analyze the actions of nurses in human movement for health promotion. This is an integrative literature review, with a qualitative and descriptive approach. The search was conducted for articles published between 2020 and 2025 in the SciELO, Latindex, and BDENF databases, using the descriptors "nursing," "health promotion," "human movement," "physical activity," and "health care." The results showed educational actions such as walking groups, individual guidance, clinical follow-up, and community strategies aimed at encouraging physical activity and self-care. The importance of interdisciplinary action and the use of digital technologies in health promotion was also observed. It is concluded that the actions of nurses contribute to the prevention of chronic diseases, strengthening humanized care, autonomy, and well-being of the population. Despite challenges related to work overload, resource scarcity, and low adherence from some users, nursing maintains an essential role in preventive practices.
