AÇÕES DE ENFERMAGEM PARA AMENIZAR OS RISCOS DE DESENVOLVIMENTO DA RETINOPATIA DA PREMATURIDADE.
Objetivo: conhecer as ações de enfermagem para amenizar os riscos de desenvolvimento de retinopatia da prematuridade. Metodologia: Pesquisa descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa. A coleta de dados foi realizada com enfermeiros neonatologistas em um Hospital Público de Belém/PA. Resultados: ocorreu a elaboração de três categorias, a primeira sobre a compreensão do conhecimento acerca da retinopatia da prematuridade, fatores de risco e o exame diagnóstico. A segunda sobre identificar quais as orientações fornecidas pelos profissionais e a terceira categoria, identificou quais as intervenções realizadas para minimizar e/ou prevenir o desenvolvimento da patologia. Considerações finais: foi possível inferir que os enfermeiros neonatologistas possuem conhecimento vago à respeito do conceito e evolução da doença, porém reconhecem os fatores de risco, bem como o exame diagnóstico. Notou-se que há carência nas orientações dadas aos pais e realizam ações preventivas condizentes com as esperadas e encontradas na literatura. Há a necessidade de ocorrer capacitação dos profissionais.

Abstract:
Objective: to know nursing actions to mitigate the risks of developing retinopathy of prematurity. Methodology: Descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection was performed with neonatologist nurses at a Public Hospital in Belém/PA. Results: there was the elaboration of three categories, the first on the understanding of knowledge about retinopathy of prematurity, risk factors and diagnostic examination. The second on identifying the guidelines provided by professionals and the third category, identified which interventions were carried out to minimize and/or prevent the development of the pathology. Final considerations: it was possible to infer that neonatologist nurses have vague knowledge about the concept and evolution of the disease, but recognize the risk factors, as well as the diagnostic examination. It was noted that there is a lack of guidance given to parents and that they carry out preventive actions consistent with those expected and found in the literature. There is a need for training of professionals.
