Abstract: The study on food education actions (EAN) has been widely researched to determine its effectiveness in improving the quality of life regarding nutrition, especially within the National School Feeding Program (PNAE), given the unexpected emergence of COVID-19, leading to drastic changes in both public basic education and nutrition. Thus, analyzing the effects brought about by FEA during its implementation in basic education and nutrition through a field research strategy provided by the Government of Alagoas and based on bibliographic sources found on the Google Scholar and BVS platforms. The results reveal that topics such as healthy eating, consumption of fruits, vegetables, and food classification, as well as good practices, received greater attention. However, the 1st Regional Education Management (1st GERE) showed more positive results when compared to the 13th, highlighting the need for adaptation and continuity of these initiatives in the face of challenging and unforeseen scenarios to maintain healthy nutrition for children and adolescents in the public school system.
