ACESSIBILIDADE PARA SURDOS E A EDUCAÇÃO INCLUSIVA
A educação no Brasil tem se tornado cada vez mais inclusiva, em parte, por meio de políticas públicas de ações afirmativas. Nesse sentido, em relação ao grupo social surdo, também houve mudanças nos últimos anos, no entanto, ainda falta efetividade para a integração isonômica e realmente inclusiva da pessoa surda no sistema educacional. Historicamente, o que se tem observado, no contexto social brasileiro, é uma errônea percepção a respeito da comunidade surda, por meio de uma abordagem capacitista e não inclusiva, sobretudo no que tange ao ingresso de surdos no sistema educacional. Dentre os fatores de maior destaque sobre o tema, evidenciam-se a necessidade de maior difusão e implementação da Língua Brasileira de Sinais nas instituições de ensino, incorporando o bilinguismo, bem como maior acolhimento e um “novo olhar” para a deficiência, por parte do Estado e da sociedade.

Abstract:
Education in Brazil has become increasingly inclusive, in part, through affirmative action public policies. In this sense, in relation to the deaf social group, there have also been changes in recent years, however, there is still a lack of effectiveness for the isonomic and truly inclusive integration of the deaf person in the educational system. Historically, what has been observed, in the Brazilian social context, is an erroneous perception of the deaf community, through an empowering and non-inclusive approach, especially with regard to the entry of deaf people into the educational system. Among the most prominent factors on the subject, there is a need for greater dissemination and implementation of the Brazilian Sign Language in educational institutions, incorporating bilingualism, as well as greater acceptance and a “new look” at disability, on the part of of the state and society.
