Abstract: Inclusive education has become one of the main guiding principles of contemporary educational policies, requiring the implementation of pedagogical practices capable of ensuring the participation, retention, and learning of all students. In this context, curricular accessibility plays a central role by enabling the removal of barriers that limit access to knowledge and restrict students' participation in educational processes. This article aims to analyze possibilities for curricular adaptations and pedagogical accommodations based on the book Hana’s Suitcase, by Karen Levine, considering its use in inclusive educational settings. This is a theoretical-reflective study grounded in recent scientific literature on inclusive education, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), differentiated instruction, and curricular accessibility. The findings indicate that the use of multiple means of representation, expression, and engagement significantly expands learning opportunities, fostering students’ academic, social, and emotional development. It is concluded that children's and young adult literature can serve as an important tool for promoting school inclusion, particularly when associated with intentionally planned and accessible pedagogical strategies.
