Abstract: Skin cancer is one of the major public health concerns worldwide, particularly melanoma. In general, unlike other types of cancer, skin cancer is easier to identify and diagnose. When detected in the early stages, surgical excision alone often offers a high chance of cure. However, other, more complex treatments are required in more advanced cases, such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. In recent years, new therapeutic interventions have been developed, especially for the treatment of metastatic melanoma, including immunotherapeutic drugs and targeted therapies. This chapter summarizes both conventional and innovative treatments for skin cancer available in Brazil and worldwide, based on approvals from regulatory agencies, emphasizing treatments available in the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS). Additionally, it presents the most recent treatments that are still in clinical trial phases.
