Abstract: Preventing recurrent falls in people with Parkinson's disease (PD) is crucial due to the serious impacts on quality of life and overall health. The integrative review analyzed 280 Parkinson's articles between 2013-2023, selecting 25 after inclusion criteria, highlighting physiotherapeutic interventions and exercises in preventing recurrent falls. Over 60% of people with PD experience at least one fall per year, with 50% experiencing recurrent falls. Multidisciplinary strategies, including physiotherapy, personalized exercises, and cognitive movement strategies, have shown promise in reducing falls and improving mobility. Studies highlight the effectiveness of interventions such as clinical Pilates, diverse exercise programs, and virtual reality-based balance training. A multidisciplinary and personalized approach is crucial for improving stability and quality of life in people with Parkinson's. While challenges persist, such as the lack of evidence for certain interventions, results suggest that integrated approaches are essential for reducing the physical, emotional, and financial burden of falls in people with PD.
