Abstract: Neurogenic bladder is a bladder dysfunction resulting from alterations in the nervous system, commonly associated with failures in emptying or filling the bladder. It is a complex and challenging condition after spinal cord injury, as in these cases there is a tendency to present a greater number of complications and a greater risk for the upper urinary tract, especially when it is related to the presence of high pressure, low compliance and bladder capacity reduced. Loss of bladder control after a spinal cord injury can have a significant impact on people's quality of life. On this context, this chapter discusses the performance of physiotherapy in the management of neurogenic bladder, presenting possibilities of interventions in its approach.
