A UTILIZAÇÃO DO PERIÓDICO COMO FONTE HISTÓRICA.
O texto faz uma reflexão sobre a utilização da fonte periódica impressa na pesquisa do historiador. A proposta aponta as potencialidade e restrições do periódico para analisar o pensamento social. Assim compreende-se que o periódico como fonte está atrelado a identidade do grupo que ele representa e aqueles que o patrocinam. Sua influência e poder está interligada com a política e a ideologia, ambos de acordo com Fairclough (2001) são inseparáveis, ele ressalta que processo discursivo, possui três dimensões: o texto, a prática discursiva e a prática social. Ao considerar o texto como discurso, compartilhando o pensamento de Bourdieu (1983) que compreende o discurso como uma formação de compromisso e as relações de comunicação como relações de poder que necessitam do poder simbólico acumulado pelos agentes e instituições. A imprensa ao longo da história acumulou um poder simbólico criando um lugar de autoridade de fala em que se apresentava como os porta-voz da informação e da verdade. Assim, a prática sistemática desse discurso de si, lhe conferiu um poder simbólico que garante sua autoridade para falar. Em alguns momentos essa autoridade se transforma em instrumento que atua em prol da legitimação de ideias e práticas que objetiva impor sobre a sociedade. Desse modo, o pesquisador precisa analisar as especificidades dessa fonte que garante relatos férteis sobre os eventos reconstruídos textualmente. Assim, além de refletir sua tentativa de influenciar seu contexto político e social é concomitantemente, por ele afetada.

Abstract:
The text reflects on the use of the printed periodic source in the historian's research. The proposal points out the potential and restrictions of the journal to analyze social thinking. Thus, it is understood that the journal as a source is linked to the identity of the group it represents and those who sponsor it. His influence and power is intertwined with politics and ideology, both according to Fairclough (2001) are inseparable, he points out that the discursive process has three dimensions: the text, the discursive practice and the social practice. When considering the text as a speech, sharing the thought of Bourdieu (1983) who understands speech as a formation of commitment and communication relations as power relations that need the symbolic power accumulated by agents and institutions. The press throughout history has accumulated symbolic power by creating a place of speaking authority in which it presented itself as the spokesperson for information and truth. Thus, the systematic practice of this self-discourse gave it a symbolic power that guarantees its authority to speak. In some moments, this authority becomes an instrument that works to legitimize ideas and practices that it aims to impose on society. In this way, the researcher needs to analyze the specificities of this source, which guarantees fertile reports about the events reconstructed textually. Thus, in addition to reflecting its attempt to influence its political and social context, it is also affected by it.
