O presente estudo tem como

objetivo refletir sobre as consequências nos

sistemas jurídico e bioético após a implantação

dos bancos de dados de perfis genéticos para

fins de identificação criminal. Para atingir

o fim colimado utilizou-se metodologia de

natureza básica com abordagem qualitativa por

intermédio de revisão bibliográfica e documental.

Com a pesquisa foi possível constatar que a

implantação de bancos de perfis genéticos para

a utilização na persecução criminal ainda é um

tema com posições divergentes nos Tribunais

pelo mundo, haja vista que ora há decisões que

resguardam mais os direitos fundamentais do

indivíduo ora há decisões que beneficiam mais

a segurança pública.

Abstract:
The present study aims to reflect

on the consequences in the legal and bioethical

systems after the implantation of databases

of genetic profiles for purposes of criminal

identification. In order to reach the collimated

goal, a methodology of a basic nature with

a qualitative approach was used, through a

bibliographical and documentary review. With

the research, it was possible to verify that the

implantation of banks of genetic profiles for

use in criminal prosecution is still an issue

with divergent positions in the Courts around

the world, given that now there are decisions

that more protect the fundamental rights of the

individual, now there are decisions that benefit

more public safety.
