A TRADUÇÃO DAS ONOMATOPEIAS EM SANZOKU NO MUSUME, RONJA: MUITO ALÉM DO TIC-TAC
A proposta desta pesquisa foi
averiguar questões inseridas no âmbito da
dublagem/legendagem que surgiram em
consequência do processo de tradução
audiovisual do objeto deste estudo, i.e., o filme
de animação japonês Sanzoku no musume,
Ronja, do diretor japonês Goro Miyazaki. Este
trabalho foi desenvolvido sob os princípios da
Teoria Funcionalista postulada por Christiane
Nord (2012), bem como da Tradução
Audiovisual, teorizada por Díaz Cintas (2009).
O foco principal trata da questão da tradução
interlinguística de onomatopeias, visando a
aprofundar conhecimentos da tradução das
línguas envolvidas, a saber: o japonês, o inglês
e o português, com o objetivo de analisar as
escolhas feitas pelos tradutores/legendadores
para a tradução das onomatopeias selecionadas
em questão

Abstract:
The main purpose of the present
work was to investigate some of the questions
related to the dubbing/subtitling scope, which
appeared as a result of the process of audiovisual
translation of the Japanese animation film
Sanzoku no musume, Ronja, by Japanese
director Goro Miyazaki. The theoretical support
was based on the principles of Functionalist
Approach proposed by Christiane Nord
(2012), as well as the Audio-visual Translation,
theorized by Díaz Cintas (2009). The question
of interlingual translation of onomatopoeia is
specifically examined in order to expand the
knowledge concerning to the translation of the
languages involved, i.e. Japanese, English and
Portuguese, with the intention of analyzing the
choices made by translators/subtitlers when
translating the selected onomatopoeias
