A TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL EM UM SERVIÇO DE INCLUSÃO ESCOLAR DE ENSINO SUPERIOR – RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA
No Brasil há diversas leis que
asseguram o acesso da educação às pessoas
com deficiência, tanto no que se refere ao ensino
básico como superior. Para facilitar e assegurar
o acesso de estudantes com deficiência ao
ensino superior, foram criados programas
que recomendam ações buscando garantir o
acesso pleno às Instituições Federais de Ensino
Superior. Foi criado na Universidade Federal da
Paraíba o Comitê de Inclusão e Acessibilidade
(CIA), o qual tem o intuito de garantir o acesso
dos alunos, professores e servidores técnicoadministrativos
com deficiência da referida
instituição. Para que isto ocorra de maneira mais
efetiva, o CIA conta com o apoio dos estudantes
concluintes do Curso de Terapia Ocupacional,
os quais cumprem estágio curricular no setor.
Esta parceria é baseada no conceito que, a
Terapia Ocupacional é uma profissão que
faz uso das ocupações em indivíduos ou
grupos objetivando melhorar ou possibilitar
a participação dos mesmos em diversos
ambientes, pois considera que as ocupações
são fundamentais para o seu desenvolvimento.
Este estudo trata-se de um relato de experiência
das discentes da disciplina Estágio Curricular
Supervisionado I, do Curso de Graduação em
Terapia Ocupacional da Universidade Federal
da Paraíba, o qual tem como objetivo relatar as
ações desenvolvidas no CIA juntamente com os
indivíduos assistidos pelo setor, no período de
janeiro a junho de 2016.

Abstract:
In Brazil there are several laws
that ensure access to education for people with
disabilities, both in terms of basic and higher
education. To facilitate and ensure the access
of students with disabilities to higher education,
programs have been created that recommend
actions aimed at guaranteeing full access to
Federal Institutions of Higher Education. The
Inclusion and Accessibility Committee (CIA) was created at the Federal University of
Paraíba, which aims to guarantee the access of students, professors and technicaladministrative
employees with disabilities of said institution. For this to occur more
effectively, the CIA counts on the support of the final students of the Occupational
Therapy Course, who complete a curricular internship in the sector. This partnership
is based on the concept that Occupational Therapy is a profession that makes use
of occupations in individuals or groups with the aim of improving or enabling their
participation in different environments, since occupations are fundamental to their
development. This study is an experience report of the students of the course Curricular
Supervised I, of the Undergraduate Course in Occupational Therapy of the Federal
University of Paraíba, which aims to report the actions developed in the CIA together
with the individuals assisted by the sector , in the period from January to June 2016.
