A TEORIA TRANSCULTURAL NO CUIDADO DE ENFERMAGEM À SAÚDE INDÍGENA: UM RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA
O presente artigo tem como foco relatar de modo descritivo a experiência vivenciada por acadêmicos de Enfermagem sobre a importância da Teoria Transcultural no cuidado realizado por enfermeiros na Saúde Indígena. O estudo ocorreu nas dependências de um estabelecimento especializado na saúde indígena, localizado no município de Belém, no mês de novembro de 2018 e foi experienciado pelos acadêmicos, juntamente ao enfermeiro indígena responsável pelo cuidado na saúde básica desses povos. A vivência aconteceu por intermédio de uma roda de conversa, na qual perguntas de cunho social e cultural foram realizadas em prol da compreensão dos acadêmicos sobre o posicionamento do profissional de enfermagem quanto aos cuidados tradicionais dos povos indígenas. Dessa forma, por meio da vivência os acadêmicos conseguiram compreender a relevância e a necessidade de adequar o cuidado às diferentes variações culturais existentes, mediante a utilização da teoria Transcultural de Madeleine Leininger.

Abstract:
This present article focuses on reporting in a descriptive way the experience of Nursing students on the importance of the Transcultural Theory in the care provided by nurses in Indigenous Health. The study took place on the premises of an establishment specialized on the indigenous health, located in the municipality of Belém, in November 2018, and it was experienced by the academics, together with the indigenous nurse who was responsible for the basic health care of these peoples. The experience took place through a conversation circle where questions of social and cultural matters were asked in favor of the students’ comprehension about the nursing professional’s opinion regarding the traditional care of indigenous peoples. Thus, through their experience, the academics were able to understand the relevance and the need to adapt care to the different cultural variations that exist, through the Transcultural Theory by Madeleine Lehninger.
