A TÃO FALADA “EDUCAÇÃO PARA DEMOCRACIA”: notas reflexivas
O texto tem por finalidade discutir os contornos e questionamentos que envolvem a chamada Educação para Democracia. Nessa perspectiva, inicialmente, trata-se da origem etimológica da palavra democracia e de qual forma pode ser refletida na educação formal. Em sequência, tratam-se de problematizações presentes nas relações entre política, escola e aspectos legais que apontam os princípios os quais devem reger o sistema de ensino brasileiro. Além disto, são elencadas ações para/com democracia, que perpassam os chamados “3Cs”. O terceiro tópico do artigo sublinha vivências obtidas a partir do Programa Missão Pedagógica no Parlamento. Por fim, compreende-se que educar para a Democracia prescinde de: flexibilidade, dialogicidade, participação, equidade, descentralização de poder, rompimento com pensamento oligárquico (governo para poucos), entre outros.

Abstract:
The text aims to discuss the contours and questions that involve the so-called Education for Democracy. In this perspective, initially, it is about the etymological origin of the word democracy and how it can be reflected in formal education. In sequence, these are problematizations present in the relations between politics, school and legal aspects that point to the principles that should govern the Brazilian education system. In addition, actions for / with democracy are listed, which run through the so-called “3Cs”. The third topic of the article highlights experiences obtained from the Pedagogical Mission Program in Parliament. Finally, it is understood that educating for Democracy dispenses with: flexibility, dialogicity, participation, equity, decentralization of power, breaking with oligarchic thinking (government for the few), among others.
