Abstract: Public Health in Brazil is a multidisciplinary field dedicated to analyzing and intervening in population health problems, seeking to promote, prevent and protect health. This scientific article aims to analyze the challenges and perspectives of Public Health in Brazil, addressing its theoretical, methodological and practical foundations, as well as its role in the formulation and implementation of public health policies. The advances and challenges of Public Health in Brazil will be discussed, focusing on its interface with the Unified Health System (SUS).
