A REPRESENTAÇÃO SOCIAL DA ÁGUA PARA ESTUDANTES DO ENSINO MÉDIO: ESTUDO EM UMA ESCOLA DO SUL DE MINAS GERAIS
É notória a importância atribuída por estudiosos e pesquisadores ao debate sobre preservação e utilização sustentável dos recursos hídricos em nosso planeta. Diante deste contexto, o presente estudo possui como objetivo principal, desvelar a representação social que estudantes do Ensino Médio da Educação Básica possuem acerca da água, permitindo assim, identificar e categorizar termos e explicações a partir da análise de conteúdo dos relatos que refletem o entendimento adquirido ao longo da vida acadêmica, associado às inúmeras experiências cotidianas vivenciadas. Para isso, desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa do tipo exploratória e descritiva em uma escola de ensino básico privada, situada no sul de Minas Gerais. Participaram deste estudo 35 estudantes. Ao final, identificou-se, um número expressivo de estudantes que relaciona a conservação e a preservação da água com a manutenção da vida no planeta, além de associar a dificuldade de preservação da água ao modo de produção capitalista. Porém, evidencia-se uma grande divergência quanto a percepção acerca da existência de uma crise hídrica materializada

Abstract:
The importance attributed by scholars and researchers to the debate on the preservation and sustainable use of water resources on our planet is notorious. Given this context, the present study has as main objective, to unveil the social representation that high school students of Basic Education have about water, thus allowing to identify and categorize terms and explanations from the content analysis of the reports that reflect the understanding acquired throughout academic life, associated with countless everyday experiences. For this, a qualitative exploratory and descriptive research was developed in a private elementary school, located in the south of Minas Gerais. Thirty-five students participated in this study. In the end, an expressive number of students was identified that relates the conservation and preservation of water with the maintenance of life on the planet, in addition to associating the difficulty of preserving water with the capitalist mode of production. However, there is a great divergence regarding the perception about the existence of a materialized water crisis
