Abstract: Radio education is characterized as an active methodology that promotes student protagonism through the creation and dissemination of audio content, such as podcasts, integrating science, art, language, and technology. Aligned with the Brazilian National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), it fosters the development of essential competencies and skills in primary and secondary education, including scientific literacy, orality, argumentation, and critical thinking. By encouraging research, collaboration, and ethical reflection on the use of information, it enables meaningful and interdisciplinary learning. In addition to strengthening language and communication practices, radio education supports the development of socio-emotional skills and expands the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT), contributing to the formation of critical and participatory citizens. In this context, radio and podcasting emerge as pedagogical tools for the democratization of knowledge and for bridging the gap between the curriculum and students’ social realities.
